Adventures in Walla Walla
Before I ventured East, when I thought of Walla Walla— a couple things would come to mind:
+ Whimsical, like a dream.
+ Oranges, wheat colored plains, and rolling hills of grass.
+ Small town with lots to do.
+ The residence of my best friend’s college.
+ Earth-shattering Cabernet.
Let’s just say; what I had heard about this dream place—wasn’t wrong.
Walla Walla wine country not only lived up to its expectations, but it was more than I could have ever wanted in a wine tasting excursion.
For starters, I stayed at The Marcus Whitman Hotel downtown.
There’s no way to really know Walla Walla without knowing its rich history, and a big part of that history starts right in the center at the Marcus Whitman Hotel. It has drawn celebrities, presidents, and is a stunning beauty in historic downtown Walla Walla with a classic style.
