Stein Eriksen Lodge

Let’s head to the mountains!

If you ask any ol’ skier where their top desired ski trip would be, they’d most likely say “Park City, Utah.” If you’re going to ski the best, you might as well stay the best. Abridged on the slopes of Deer Valley sits Utah’s only five-star resort, Stein Eriksen Lodge. With so much to see and so much to do, I figured I’d walk you through a typical step-by-step of a stay with SEL.

First, you can use the SEL valet service at arrival or depature.

If you need to explore out on the town, you can reserve an official Stein Collection vehicle, a Lincoln Navigator to get around… or request the complimentary shuttle service to get in and out of downtown.

Second, you check in to a homey, warm suite with a classic but modern touch.

Rooms are best for relaxing, hot tubbing, movies, drawing a hot bath after skiing all day, you know- they are chic whilst being comfortable! Private deck request? You got it. Fireplace with real wood & a real fire? You’ve got that too.

In the rooms, you’ll find all the best amenities.

For example, you have daily AND evening housekeeping service, which is perfect if you were taking mid-afternoon naps (like us!).

There’s Express check-in and check-out, 24 hour room service, and complimentary internet. In the suite, you’ll find a gourmet kitchen with a refrigerator, stocked coffee maker, utinsils, all the things.

The bathrooms are stocked with Molton Brown of London bath products and white plush robes/slippers.

Third, you’ll need food… and you can find great eats at SEL. You have so many options.

You’ve got Troll Hallen for breakfast or lunch (especially good for snacks!)

You’ve got Glitretind for all of your big meals.

You can dress in ski clothes for lunch and dress it up fancy for dinner (where there is typically a somm on staff!). You can dine with mountain views and a fireplace keeping you warm.

But wait… there’s more!

You’ve also got in-room dining, where they come in and SET UP your meal, not just drop off your food on a tray. It really feels like true mountain luxury.

There’s always pool side service and…. for those of you night owls, special eats and drinks from midnight to 7AM.

Fourth, it’s time to ski!

Stein Eriksen Lodge sits right in the middle of the action. You can ski right up to the resort. Beside the locker rooms, there’s a bar in the Champion’s Club-- ready to warm you up! You can also play arcade games. A fun, original touch! Coming from the Pac Northwest, it’s always especially enjoyable to see new terrain and people come from all over the world to ski on these slopes!

Ready for a Spa Day!

Fifth, after all that skiing… you’ll need a spa-moment.

Dana and I got a full couple’s massage. Low light, sweet staff, relaxing vibes, all of the above. Comfort and ambiance. Relaxing smells and top-level service. The pool is RIGHT outside the spa, so if you want a little extra fun-- it’s all right there.

Sixth, there are a few more perks to speak of. SEL has an extensive multi-million dollar wine cellar.

The staff knows their stuff! As a bit of a wine snob, I was highly impressed by the wine list (especially by the glass!). I recognized a few favorites from the Willamette Valley and was able to put my trust in each varietal, because I knew someone with major wine-smarts was helping curate the list.

Morning Coffee with a View!

What about Stein Eriksen Residences?

About a mile away lies the Stein Eriksen Residences, with a completely new and fresh vibe. If you like ultra-chic, modern, clean looks for your stay- SER could be the ticket! I love that SEL and SER can cater to different personalities within the same great organization. Oh, and there’s great food too. Named for it’s elevation, the 7880 Club is a refreshing and wonderful dining experience.
