Hotel Chaco Albuquerque

New Mexico is a hidden gem. The second you step off of the airplane, you witness culture. The airport chairs are a beautiful warm brown leather and there are terra-cotta designs lining the walls. Stepping into Albuquerque feels like you are right there in the middle of a true Native American history.

Hotel Chaco is right there in the middle of the action. It’s a luxury stop with everything you need both in and around the building. A AAA 4 diamond boutique hotel with stunning architecture from Gensler, the hotel displays art in a contemporary Native American way. Stone masonry facade, wooden accents, huge sculptures and vaulted ceilings. It’s truly an instant escape.

Hotel Chaco’s in the Sawmill District!

Right in the center of the Sawmill District, you’ve got little authentic shops lining the streets, but also a modern twist with the Sawmill Market across the street (a great place for smoothies, breakfast, coffee, or even a midday beer.

It’s rustic, it’s modern, it’s earthy, and it’s chic.

The hotel’s rooftop restaurant, “Level 5” has a grand space for views, cuddling up by the fire, and tasting the best local ingredients.

My New Mexico Story:

My mother had yet accompanied me on one of my “blog trips,.” She had always wanted to see New Mexico. It was the best way for a Mother/Daughter to escape together and get to know each other “as adults.” I moved away from home and ventured across the country. Having this special time was so meaningful to both of us. We were able to shop together, dine together, laugh together, and explore.
