AC Hotels Asheville

In the heart of Asheville lies a unique hotel that is the perfect getaway for a family.

The rooms were fresh, clean, and modern, mirroring the bright entrance to the building.  You really are in the middle of everything with the AC Hotel in Asheville, North Carolina.

Downtown Asheville…

Charming & Lovely.

You can walk to shops, restaurants, shows, parks, and historic sites within minutes.  It’s eclectic and the vibrant art scene is alive in every turn.  The streets are just busy enough to feel like you’re in a happening place, but just calm enough to feel like you’re away from the big city hustle and bustle.

Capella, (the AC Hotel rooftop bar & restaurant) was most notably the finest view in Asheville.  Nearly 360, you can see the sunset, the hills, the trees, the city below, all the while with upscale dining and the perfectly sized menu.  The rooftop was the perfect place to see an old friend from Portland and it was fun to hear about how much she’s loved living in Asheville.  It brought a familiar cozy-ness to a new place.  I love when a space is chic, but also inviting.

We also had the chance to try the restaurant across the street from AC Hotels at Asheville’s Kimpton Hotel Arras.  Bargello & District 42 were spectacular eats.  There’s a wide variety of both sweet & savory, a great wine list, and an even better interior design. District 42 was serene. It was like restoration hardware meets a rustic escape.

The food was equally as fantastic as the aura of the restaurant.  Highly recommend stopping in for a meal + dessert and wine pairing.  They have a somm on staff who is lovely and knows her stuff!

My Asheville Story:

This was the first trip that I took alone with the babies and it was A LOT. I forgot how hard it is to manage now that I have full time childcare. However, the hotel restaurants were very accommodating and sweet. The girls actually did really well on the entire drive there and back! Never leaving Dana behind again!
