The location is close to shops, bars, and live music venues. It’s the perfect way to switch it up if you are used to staying more “downtown downtown.”
Craving That Nashville Fame
The Aertson reminds me of the perfect place for a celebrity to stay, or say, the famous record producers stopping in from other cities that (clearly) need to check out @chelseaericasmithmusic. (Love a shameless plug!). It’s clean, sleek, and fresh.
Anyone that knows me knows that I prefer “boutique” to large chains; restaurants, hotels, spas, etc. BUT although Kimpton has a plethora of hotels, they go out of their way to make each one completely original. It echoes the character of each city, and gives you something new and exciting with each stay. It has the reliability of a big establishment but the creativity of a unique boutique.
The Rooms
Imminent style. Dashing class. Chic display. The Kimpton Aertson was an elegant example of the fresh and original style that Kimpton is known for. Although the Portland Hotel Monaco is a bit more extreme, this particular hotel instills a sense of calm with its multi-dimensional décor and sweet charm. You can’t argue with floor-to-ceiling windows, people! Great acoustics, I might add.
Can we talk about the rooftop pool?
Dining at The Henley
This midtown restaurant is a friendly but elegant twist on Southern dining. They make local food into stellar small plates with a classical French technique. Their wine list is intentional and their beer choices are plentiful. They also have a cute patio if you’re looking for a spot to ‘gram.
