Skamania Lodge - Treehouses

Although the Pacific Northwest is having a light winter and Mt. Hood is light on snow, it doesn’t mean we will stop from getting cozied-up and escaping to a cabin for respite and relaxation.  This past year, the Skamania Lodge launched something up in the evergreeens; the Treehouses.

Let me set the scene.  The air is crisp, but there’s a fire lighting up the room.  It’s cold outside, but it’s steamy in the luxe, modern bathroom. It’s windy, but worth sitting by the flames in the campfire.  Tall windows, sleek linens, sweet gestures, and stunning architecture.

Gorge-ous Woods.

Though there are a few other treehouses around, the fact that they’re in the distance makes you feel like you’re secluded and truly living in an elevated cabin above and among the trees.

When you arrive at the main lodge, your luggage is packed on a golf cart and you are driven up to your humble abode.  The cabin has it all.  Heated tiled bathroom floors.  A sweet daybed (that is practically and quite literally a full other bed!) Multiple showerheads.  Breakfast in bed.  A deck.  Your own private fire pit.  Pendleton socks and mug.  Local vendors sharing their treats!  You really couldn’t ask for more.

Originally, we were going to send Dana up to Mt. Hood to ski… but once we saw the snow wasn’t up to par and how beautiful the scenery was here at the lodge, Dana chose to stay and hang at Skamania.  It was a great choice, as, the serene views, stellar eats, and peaceful aura was worth every second.
